R/V. Callista The Tour                                                                                              04.05.07 R/V. Callista The RV.Callista is the research vessel of the National Oceanographic Centre of the University of Southampton and is moored at the Cobb for the duration of the Festival. Crew member Gary gace us a tour of the deck, and we then listened to a fascinating exposition on Gloabal warming and the possible results given by the Callista Skipper, Ray, to an enthusiastic audience of visitors. The Callista carries out extensive research into sea level rise and climate change.
